Dear Bloggers,  Listeners and Friends,
Where have I been these past few weeks?  Hiding?  Hibernating?  No!  Just Hunkered down in my basement working at night when the house is cool and quiet.
For the past three years I have had various chronic ailments, affecting lungs, joints and blood. Got experts in to rid my house of foul air, mould and dust, and I'm now going through a personal physical and spiritual cleanse and treatment for my Lyme, which I feel has been the main debilitating problem all along.

My last two books,  "Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up" and "Knowings from the  Silence" have been huge influences in my life, and spurred me on to get to grips with my own inner and outer cleansing.

A wonderful little book that I have just loved narrating and just approved by the author, as "Well Done" is waiting approval from ACX and should be on sale within a few days.

a new book- improve your LinkedIn™ profile

Hello friends--

if you want to convey your skills and "hireability" to a largely professional, business networking audience, a very respected and "above board" website is LinkedIn™. I have narrated an Audiobook that gives good advise and step by step features that can help you improve an existing profile, and it also helps you get started-- see more about it when you click down and to the right on the illustration of the book cover.

EMAIL ME (lindasnarration@gmail.com) and I can send you a free code to allow you to get a full download of this audiobook sent to your Audible.com account- I will send you instructions and the code- and you will supply the initiative and motivation to improve your marketability!

Hope to hear from you!

Work comes in twos

It appears that my audiobook narration assignments come in twos lately- I am currently working on two audiobooks at once, and intend to finish both of them next week- and meanwhile I accepted two new projects, which I have to produce the first 15 minutes of for each- also next week-- so I'll be pretty involved and engrossed in my work for this period.

But I love it! I am narrating work that I believe in, that appeals to me, and that I think has a "voice". Click on the book cover art over to the right for The Girl With The Green Tinted Hair, by Gavin Whyte, for example, or Life You Are The Master, by Zakir Hossain....listen to the brief audio sample, or, better yet- Email me (lindasnarration@gmail.com) and ask for a free gift code, and instructions on how to get the full version of these flowing, lyrical, dreamlike works; downloaded to your very own computer, for your very own listening pleasure....

final weekend for "You Can't Take It With You"

Your last opportunity is coming this weekend (19/20/21) to see the 1930s madcap comedy You Can't Take It With You at the Center for Performing Arts in Rhinebeck...reservations are strongly advised- it was sold out last Sunday, and Saturday was nearly full, and everyone in this cast is doing a great job....http://www.centerforperformingarts.org/all-shows-sp-1131460608/item/you-can-t-take-it-with-you

Opening Night for "You Can't Take It With You"-

FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS! Besides the audio books I am narrating (two projects are in the final stages of getting approved)- my most important news is to invite you to witness a set of zany characters having a rollicking good time, "following their dreams", 1930s style- and- watching ME in the role of an Irish maid, in the madcap comedy You Can't Take It with You, performing at the Center For Performing Arts, Route 308, Rhinebeck, N.Y. this weekend- February 12/13/14 and February 19/20/21. 8 pm Friday and Saturday, 3 pm Sunday. Box office phone: (845) 876-3080. All the information for reserving tickets and directions to the Center is right here: http://www.centerforperformingarts.org/all-shows-sp-1131460608/item/you-can-t-take-it-with-you

It is an enthusiastic cast; the director, Nicola Sheara, is a local standout, and the Rhinebeck Theatre Society and producer Ellen Honig have put together a good show. There will be plenty of laughs, pyrotechnics, and crazy shenanigans; and through the years, this play has had a lot of appreciation and success in many venues, and in movies, and now- it is here locally for your enjoyment! I do hope you get a chance to see it!

I have a "feeling" about my latest narration project

Another audiobook narration has been submitted to ACX for a Quality Check, so I am awaiting that to be approved- and when it does, it will be posted for sale on Audible.com and you can EMAIL ME (lindasnarration@gmail.com) if you want to receive a code for a free download- I get a kind of "feeling" about this one, just a certain "vibe" or "spirit"....that's a tease....wait for the announcement of the sale of the audio version of this book and you will see why!

Hope everyone is doing well this month- keep in touch!

Namaste.

Just a year ago....

One year ago I invested in my future, and here I am!  A very big thank you to David H. Lawrence XVII and Dan O'Day of the ACX Masterclass, for providing such a wonderful training, and mentoring me in this great endeavor.

Email me at lindasnarration@gmail.com, for a free copy of any one of my narrated books.

In comparison to last year, no snow in Poughkeepsie yet this year, but here's a peek at last year's beauty. Namaste.

More appreciation by the authors

Prince Philip: The Queen's Devoted Companion is now on sale on Audible.com and Amazon.com. For a free copy to review, please email me at "lindasnarration@gmail.com."

A Time For Kings  by J. Phillip Stonewater, received a nice word of recommendation from the author- if you click on the book cover art to the right, which takes you to Audible.com, and listen to the audio sample, and purchase the full audio download, I hope you agree.

Linda,
I have never fancied myself a great writer. A good one, maybe. But your narration makes my work sound like GREAT writing. I couldn't be more happy and impressed. I found myself getting into my own book as though I'd never before read it, let alone wrote it! I'm so happy you're the one giving it life.

Another kind of "work"

As stated in a previous post, I am in the midst of producing the audio narration for another book, and then will start a new project that I have a contract for, to be completed by the end of March.

but I am also in rehearsal for a local community theatre production of the American comedy You Can't Take It With You on the stage at the Center for Performing Arts, in Rhinebeck, New York, February 12-14 and 19-21.

This award winning 1936 Moss Hart-George S. Kaufman written play should be great fun, with an excellent cast- directed by Nicola Sheara and produced by Ellen Honig for the Rhinebeck Theatre Society.

Tickets and information can be obtained by calling the theater box office at (845) 876-3080 or online at http://www.centerforperformingarts.org/whats-playing/item/you-can-t-take-it-with-you?category_id=34.

Working Once More

I know that all of you out there appreciate the spoken word, and hearing quality narrated work. A very successful, very experienced Narrator, Tavia Gilbert, describes the process in this way: "Being told a story is a very intimate, tender experience, and no matter what age we are, we need that deep, human connection". Thank you, Tavia Gilbert, for expressing that feeling so well!

One of my recently completed projects is The Girl With The Green Tinted Hair, by  Gavin Whyte. "Click" on the cover design on the right side of this Blog up above to read more and to purchase an audio copy....

It was a pleasure working on this amazing tale of life and longing and wonder, and here is how the author expressed himself about our collaboration:

The Girl With the Green Tinted Hair: Imagine being in your PJs, your fingers wrapped around a cup of hot chocolate, you're next to an open fire and your grandma begins to tell you a magical tale. That's what this is like. Linda Roper, the narrator, did a great job. Ideal for kids and adults alike - especially before bedtime!

(Gavin Whyte's LinkedIn page post about me narrating the "TGWTGTH" book)-

I wish all my Blog readers a happy journey with my narrated books, and life!

Namaste.
