Just a year ago....

One year ago I invested in my future, and here I am!  A very big thank you to David H. Lawrence XVII and Dan O'Day of the ACX Masterclass, for providing such a wonderful training, and mentoring me in this great endeavor.

Email me at lindasnarration@gmail.com, for a free copy of any one of my narrated books.

In comparison to last year, no snow in Poughkeepsie yet this year, but here's a peek at last year's beauty. Namaste.

More appreciation by the authors

Prince Philip: The Queen's Devoted Companion is now on sale on Audible.com and Amazon.com. For a free copy to review, please email me at "lindasnarration@gmail.com."

A Time For Kings  by J. Phillip Stonewater, received a nice word of recommendation from the author- if you click on the book cover art to the right, which takes you to Audible.com, and listen to the audio sample, and purchase the full audio download, I hope you agree.

Linda,
I have never fancied myself a great writer. A good one, maybe. But your narration makes my work sound like GREAT writing. I couldn't be more happy and impressed. I found myself getting into my own book as though I'd never before read it, let alone wrote it! I'm so happy you're the one giving it life.

Another kind of "work"

As stated in a previous post, I am in the midst of producing the audio narration for another book, and then will start a new project that I have a contract for, to be completed by the end of March.

but I am also in rehearsal for a local community theatre production of the American comedy You Can't Take It With You on the stage at the Center for Performing Arts, in Rhinebeck, New York, February 12-14 and 19-21.

This award winning 1936 Moss Hart-George S. Kaufman written play should be great fun, with an excellent cast- directed by Nicola Sheara and produced by Ellen Honig for the Rhinebeck Theatre Society.

Tickets and information can be obtained by calling the theater box office at (845) 876-3080 or online at http://www.centerforperformingarts.org/whats-playing/item/you-can-t-take-it-with-you?category_id=34.

Working Once More

I know that all of you out there appreciate the spoken word, and hearing quality narrated work. A very successful, very experienced Narrator, Tavia Gilbert, describes the process in this way: "Being told a story is a very intimate, tender experience, and no matter what age we are, we need that deep, human connection". Thank you, Tavia Gilbert, for expressing that feeling so well!

One of my recently completed projects is The Girl With The Green Tinted Hair, by  Gavin Whyte. "Click" on the cover design on the right side of this Blog up above to read more and to purchase an audio copy....

It was a pleasure working on this amazing tale of life and longing and wonder, and here is how the author expressed himself about our collaboration:

The Girl With the Green Tinted Hair: Imagine being in your PJs, your fingers wrapped around a cup of hot chocolate, you're next to an open fire and your grandma begins to tell you a magical tale. That's what this is like. Linda Roper, the narrator, did a great job. Ideal for kids and adults alike - especially before bedtime!

(Gavin Whyte's LinkedIn page post about me narrating the "TGWTGTH" book)-

I wish all my Blog readers a happy journey with my narrated books, and life!

Namaste.
